Tarık Kaan Muşlu is an architectural and industrial photographer based in Istanbul, available for national and international projects. He has started to pursue his passion for photography in the early school days and he worked as an assistant to the acclaimed photographer Cengiz Akduman. He is specialized in architectural and industrial photography, aerial photo/video projects and introduction films.
For the last 10 years he has been working for many international corporate companies like BMW, Hilton, Radisson, MINI, Jaguar, Land Rover, Henning Larsen Architects and BASF. When he is not shooting for his clients, he likes to work on his personal long term project called “Seyahatname”. As a traveller and motorcyclist who has always been fascinated by architecture, geography, people and different cultures, he aims to capture and document them in this project.
His photos were published on BBC, CNN, Arkitera, Sabah, HaberTurk, Posta and many other local newspapers and magazines. His travel photos were used by Lonely Planet books, his personal works named “Abandoned” and “Snow” were used as covers for different books. His photos of “Narmanlı Han” , one of the most famous trademark buildings in Istanbul, were published in Can Almanac 2016.
Several of his works have been presented in exhibitions organized by Chamber of Architects and Islands Cultural Association. One of his pieces called “The Look” (Bakış) has won Special Jury Award in a photography competition held by Islands Cultural Association. Selimiye Mosque is listed under Unesco World Heritage with the photographs he shot for Edirne Municipality. He participated in the projects of restorations of Kılıç Ali Paşa Mosque and Mihrimah Sultan Mosque by Sinan The Architect and The Beyoğlu Panayia Evangelistria Greek Orthodox Church.
